Coronavirus special arrangements

You should only join a run if you are fit and well and:

  • do not have any of the symptoms of COVID-19 (see below)
  • have not tested positive for COVID-19 (If you have tested positive you should not join a run until either 10 days have passed from the day after the positive result or you have had negative lateral flow test results on two consecutive days from day 5 after your positive result.)

The main symptoms identified by the NHS are:

  • a high temperature or shivering (chills) – a high temperature means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
  • a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours
  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste
  • shortness of breath
  • feeling tired or exhausted
  • an aching body
  • a headache
  • a sore throat
  • a blocked or runny nose
  • loss of appetite
  • diarrhoea
  • feeling sick or being sick.

If, within 48 hours of attending a run, you develop any of the symptoms detailed above or test positive for COVID-19, please inform the club and we will contact the other runners to inform them of this.

The Club has two Welfare Officers. If you have any feedback you’d like to share with us or have any questions about the measures we have in place, please just contact us.
