Membership

Our road and trail runs are free to join and non-members are welcome. If, after a month, you have enjoyed the experience and would like to continue to run with us, we ask that you become a member of the club.  There is a small charge for our track session.

Membership fee

Our 2025/26 membership fee is £33.00 of which £20 goes to England Athletics for registration. The club is a ‘not for profit’ organisation, so all money is fed back into the club to support club organised events and activities.  Membership runs from 1 April to 31 March (if you join between 1 January and 31 March and it is the first time you have joined an England Athletics affiliated club, your membership fee will run until 31 March the following year).

Second claim membership

Anyone who is a member of another England Athletics affiliated running club and wishes to stay a member of that club can join Dragons as a “second claim” member. The fee for 2025/26 is £14. Second claim members enjoy most of the benefits of first claim members (see below).

Age limits

Membership is open to anyone aged 18 or older.  A child aged 14 or over can run with a responsible adult as long as that adult supervises the child at all times.
